Very nice. I am going to make this project, but, I am going to cheat on the legs. I am going to buy 6 - 8"x16"x8" standard cinder blocks and use three on each side for the legs. It won't look as nice maybe, but, will save some time and make it a bit sturdier.
I know a guy who has bad teeth and has constant pain, he crushes aspirin and places the powder over the affected tooth. He swears that it works to alleviate his symptoms. I am not saying it works or advocating it, Just putting it out there.I also have known several old timers who crush aspirin and take it that way for headaches, for the same reason you stated, they claim it works faster.
Lemon water lately gives me ferocious heartburn. I believe if it is the type of lemons I buy. I don't have any farmer's market near me only chain grocers and Walmart. I used to buy imported lemons from California in a plastic bag from Walmart (I live in Florida) that were not very acidic and bitter and I could tolerate them, but, they stopped carrying them. Now I buy them out of the produce bin and it seems they are more acidic and cause heartburn. As a thought, I might try adding a pinch of baking soda to the lemon water to tolerate in better.
Very nice bike! I have a question, Do you think this would work well on the rear of the bike vs the front? It seems that putting it on the rear would keep you from having to mess with the steering and might be more stable. I am also curious as to how well this thing handles when you have a heavy load on front.
My stepdad (RIP) was from Mexico near Acapulco and he used to make me cast nets to throw as a young man. Unfortunately, I never learned how he made them and this Instructable brought back memories because I remember him carving the tool you call the "shuttle" in preparation of making a net.
Thank you for this, I make soda can stoves and store them to pass out to neighbors before hurricanes, so they have a way to cook without power. This would help to make them look a little nicer I think.
Very nice design, I absolutely love this. The only problem I would have is that I would require a cover as the roads are really bumpy around here and groceries would go flying (Yes, even an low speeds). I would also incorporate LED lights into it, and paint it a florescent color (I like florescent green) , so that when I add it to the bike it increased visibility. Currently I have a bike trailer and two baskets on my bike, which are a pain to carry to the store, though I can haul a lot on the trailer.
I live in central Florida and I have been giving out bus passes for a while. It allows the homeless access to heat and air conditioning as the passes here allow you to ride all day for $3, also access to the public library, and other amenities that can help them to stave off boredom, find jobs, stay in touch with loved ones, etc.
